Accommodation & Dining

The Shootroom

Created in 2009 from an old cattle byre this comfortable building offers space over two floors for dining and relaxation around the shooting day. Furnished in traditional style this award winning lodge creates an ambience of relaxation with a homely feel whether you're sitting in front of a roaring log fire or looking through the large picture windows at several of the shoot drives which can be seen in the distance.

Dinners, lunches and breakfasts are all served in the Shootroom with fresh ingredients carefully prepared by our own chef. For those who choose to dine and stay with us a comprehensive menu, with ingredients sourced almost entirely from the local area (and in many cases from our own farm), is offered together with a large selection of wines to suit most palates. Our well-stocked drinks cabinet is available for those who wish to socialise into the small hours, safe in the knowledge that their bed is just a few paces away.

Whilst our guests come to shoot with us we always want to ensure that no part of their experience at Mornacott is found wanting and that they leave us replete in body and soul.

The Lodges

Our well-appointed Shoot Lodges were once ancillary buildings that served the farmstead. They provide accommodation in ten double rooms, eight of which have ensuite facilities. Rooms are tastefully furnished and decorated with oak furniture and quality soft furnishings with private sitting areas and tea and coffee making facilities. Each lodge is just a short stroll from the Shootroom where all meals are taken.

Wi-Fi is available in each lodge and a secure gunroom is located adjacent to the Shootroom where teams may secure their guns.

Staying at Mornacott the night before the shoot allows teams to arrive at their leisure, dine together if they wish, and the luxury of a stress-free start and a relaxed breakfast the following morning.
And for those who want to stay a little longer or who might have partners who prefer to avoid a full day in the field out heated indoor pool and sauna can often provide a welcome diversion.
