A Typical Shoot Day

For those not staying with us the night before in one of our shoot lodges we would usually ask that the guns arrive at 9.00am for a quick coffee and briefing before driving to their pegs for the first drive, starting at around 9.30am.

If our guests have elected to shoot through we would normally stop for a brief refreshment break after the second drive to stave off any pangs of hunger after which we would typically arrange three more drives before returning to the shootroom for a late lunch.

If you elect to have a ‘normal’ lunch we would break after the third drive and, after adjourning to the shoot room for a sumptuous meal, we would expect to complete two more drives before returning once more for afternoon tea.

The pace of the day is very much determined by our guests. We prefer a gentle start and a leisurely atmosphere around a carefully orchestrated programme to ensure that all of our guests gain the maximum enjoyment from their day.

Many of our guests enjoy joining us for dinner the night before and our purpose built accommodation allows our guests the luxury of staying with us overnight before and after their shoot day as required.
