Local accommodation can become very scarce during the shooting season so we advise that our guests make early arrangements in this regard.

In response to demand we have created a number of shoot lodges which provide accommodation in ten double rooms, eight of which have ensuite facilities. All of the rooms are tastefully furnished and decorated with oak furniture and quality bed linen and curtains with private sitting areas and tea and coffee making facilities. Each lodge is just a short stroll from the shootroom where all meals are taken.

Teams of guns can choose either to dine with us the night before their shoot or to visit one of the many quality local Pubs and we are happy to arrange either a private dinner in the shootroom or complementary transport to and from one of several local hostelries.

For those dining with us a comprehensive menu, with ingredients sourced almost entirely from the local area (and in many cases from our own farm) is offered together with a large selection of wines to suit most palates. Our well-stocked drinks cabinet is available for those who wish to socialise into the small hours, safe in the knowledge that their bed is just a few paces away.

Staying at Mornacott the night before the shoot allows teams to arrive at their leisure, dine together if they wish, and the luxury of a stress-free start and a relaxed breakfast together the following morning.

For those who wish to stay the night after their shoot day we are happy to arrange meals to suit and a full English breakfast the following morning ensures that our guests do not depart with an empty stomach.

Alternatively in previous years parties have stayed at the following hotels and have expressed themselves pleased with the facilities and service:-

The Hartnoll Hotel

The Royal Oak Inn, Withypool

Tarr Farm Riverside Inn

We would be delighted to help and advise on your accommodation requirements should you wish.
